will a supersprint 1.1 backbox fit a vts with remus centre section?

just got a supersprint backbox that was off a 1.1. came to fit it today and the flared edges of the backbox and centre pipe didnt line up so couldnt get a clamp round it. is it actually possible to get it to fit???

ebay suggests that the backbox will fit all models with a standard centre section... so is the remus centre different to standard?
