Inward facing subs...

Just wondering what the advantages / disadvantages of having subs facing inwards rather than outwards?

you get more space in the box by inverting the sub. Say you make a box that is 2qbft and then you put in the sub the space inside the box is displaced by the area of the sub. so you can get away with a smaller sub box.
