*warning, too many questions in this thread* lol

Right then,

The brakes on the vts are dangrously bad but it just passed the mot recently so I don't know how that works out :geek: they did replace both rear pads though

anyway

I want to bleed the whole system and add new fluid:
- What fluid to use? Dot 5.1? Any recommended brand?
- How is the bleeding procedure done?

Front discs and pads:
- From what I've read mintex are rated highly but are they worth the extra money? The car will never be on track or driven like a hooligan but at the same time I want good brakes so do standard replacements don't do the job properly?
- I wanted some drilled discs (no idea why) but found out they cost too much so will be going to vented ones, are the Maxtorq kam sell any good or are they made for track and I need road ones?

Sorry for the essay.

Just stick dot4 fluid in for standard brakes, not worth the extra cost imo and have to change 5.1 more frequently.

The way i bleed brakes is, pump the pedal, then come off. Open nipple, push slowly to the floor, once at the floor keep it down close the nipple.
Repeat all again untill no air is coming out.

Mintex pads are good, but can get pagid oems fairly cheap from euro car parts where i seen you that day.
£11 for rears think fronts are £20 ish.

I would just stick with the solid vented discs aswel mate.

give me a shout if you want a hand with them :y:

oem pagid are just teh same as mintex oem imo

I wouldnt get the m1144's as there is too much dust tbh
they are good for road use, nice and sharp pedal feel, just i didnt like the dust.
They are about £50 iirc check kam racings site.
