What do you use the car for?
Road car
braided lines all around
fresh fluid
new oem disks
mintex 1144 pads all around
track
same but replace pads with pagid rs 4 2 blue
to keep brake balance even use same compound all around

Bleed the brakes and replace the brakes and pads all the way round with mintex ones :)

I did bleed the brakes ages ago. How often are you suppose to bleed them?
So mintex ones are the best then?

We have to run Mintex on our race car and in my opinion, they're poo.
On my road car i swapped out the OEM with EBC (green, but yellow are meant to be better all rounders) and the difference is fantastic.

EBC are supposed to be great brakes but Mintex brakes are well known for being pretty good quality

I wouldnt fit ebc greenstuff to my 4yr old daughters pedal bike let alone a car!
They are worse than standerd pads
fluid should be changd every 3year max

The yellows are meant to be the best daily drive/thrash pad. The greens are great but need to be warm. Yellows work from cold but can still cope with plenty of heat.

I take it you've tried them Swampy?
I'm on my second Saxo now and i've never been happy with the OEM brakes on either. I went EBC-G on OEM discs and now it stands on it's nose.
Not trying to start an argument here, just genuinely curious.

Yes tried them twice.
1st set were in a race engined metro and they rockd.these were the original compound they did for them.
2nd set where in my 306 s16 and peddle feel was awful, dust wast awful and they left deposits on the disk which causd brake judder.
Testd the disk with a dti and it was well with in run out tolerance.
Changd the pads for standerds but left the disks and with in a few hundred miles of use the judder had gone.
Turns out greenstuff put something in the pad material that under heavy braking bonds to the disk!
Never again will i use or recomend them!
Also afaik yellow arnt e markd so shouldnt be used on the road, infact unlike green and red which designed for road use the yellow are track pads!

mate if you want the best brakes possible you go for BREMBO, front performance set costs somewhere in the region of a grand. But you get massive vented/drilled (or grooved) discs, lightweight calipers and performance pads - nothing can compete, they are the Ferrari of the brake world!

The yellows are sold as road pads, it's the blues that are the track only.
I've been running the greens a while now and yeah the dust is exessive but it doesn't really bother me. As far as feel goes it's an improvement over the OEM, and not noticed any judder even when being thrown around a track. Hey ho, maybe they've changed what's in them since you ran them, i don't know.

i run a gti 180 set up on mine. using oe discs and 1144's. bloody great. though they are heavier than the 266 set up. look around the scrappys bud, look for berlingo's or other citroens or pugs.

I use EBC Green Stuff pads/Groved Discs on the front an the back is standard.

Good brakes + sh#t tyres = :flamed:

you set the pads on fire and destroyed them yet
very common occurance in hard use on green stuffs
i run wilwood 4 pots 283mm drilled discs and poly e compund pads
the rear is standard but the bias has been adjusted on the compensator
aswell as the above comment about tyre i run yoko pradas and it stops on a penny tbh
