gearbox help plz

ive just fitted a new clutch which was pritty easy, put everything back but the gear linkages are right against the chassie and are grinding against it making it hard to move the stick, i cant even bend them because the part where the links are connected to are nearly touching the chassie, is there anyway i can bring the box forward?

have you put the lower mount back on? this will push the engine forward? sounds daft but its easy to forget things, also the gearbox mount(right side of engine0 allows you to move the engine slightly when fitting) although i dont think it would move that far that itd be against the bulk head? get some close ups of the prob mate? maybe easier for us to identify, also have you put the bracket which the gear linkages are fixed to the gearbox back in the right place?

the gear selector bracket or the lower engine mount bracket? both could cause it
