I got a quote on Bell for a VTS, it was around £2000 TPFT. So i added my mum as a named driver with her having an automatic license and it dropped to 1400. Do you think id get away with it or would they mention it on the phone do you think? And if they do what should i say lol im not good at thinking of blags on the spot.

I have no other family to put on its poo, i could maybe see if my girlfriend will let me put her grandad on it but hes pretty old so that could increase the price anyway. Apart from that i have nobody else.

And i need some more suggestions on how to get insured on a VTS im struggling.. spent all morning and cant get under 2K with stupid deposits other than the one iv stated above.

Iv tried Adrian Flux (£3000+), Churchill (£N/A), Brentacres (£755 deposit & 10*£155), Sky (£354 & 10*£120) TPFT but that one is if i wait 1 month when iv held license 2 years.

Gonna try admiral next but to be honest, i dont know, i get sh*t quotes. I think its cos i have noone to put on my policy.

What i need to know is would i be able to get away with putting my mum on my policy because she only has an automatic license. She brings it down like 5-600£!

I might have got round it! My GFs grandad has had his license 62 years lol and iv put him on and its dropped to 1668 FC with 500 excess or 1773 with 350 excess.

BUT, if i change it so the car is gonna be kept at his address it drops to £1380 with a 350 excess!!

These prices were all from bell.

Will this be dodgy do you reckon?

well if you put the car is kept at your gf's grandad's overnight and it gets nicked outside your house then you're in the shit.

if you put your mom as named driver, she will never ever drive it so it should be fine. Just becuase your on the policy as named driver doesn't mean you have to drive it.

Like phycho said, if your mum is a named driver then it is ok.
