Sold it today for £1600 for the 1.1i. Felt sad to watch it go away, but then I now have money for University! It's been good, and you may see me in a VTR, or VTS in 4 or so years.

So no transport to get around uni / nights out etc?
You gonna get a cycle or something instead?

Fair enough matey! Its very viable to have a car at uni should you want o get one sooner. If I didnt have mine I wouldnt be able to get to work/work on cars etc. Its a means to an end aswell as a way of not taking the feckin bus lol

Personally I would have kept it. Did you sell it for more than you payed for it?

I'm going to Preston which is local to everything so no need for a car, and I'd rather not pay £50 a week to park it.

Bought it for £1,750. So in a year a loss of £150.

It's a 32,800 mile, 03 reg saxo with MOT till July, and Tax till Feb. So it's a decent car, probably one of the best 1.1i Standard Saxo's about. And I had 5 people interested since Friday when it went on Autotrader.

Maybe it was mechanically sound, had FSH, immaculate bodywork and low mileage? Just because it's a 1.1 doesn't mean it's worth jack shit! Some people would rather have a reliable, tidy 1.1 than a shabby VTR... (Pensioners).
Edit:
Pieface already answered :)

I've just sold my saxo before going back to uni, had it for first 2 years, didnt need it what so ever lol, universitys are usually bang in the middle of a city or at least have good connections to get into the city, rendering the car, useless.

I did have a guy from Dublin offer me £200 Over the asking price, but I'd have to pay his "agent" to collect the car for him, and he wants me to get a few things for him. Sounded trustworthy..
