Hi.
Snapped a key in the igntion earlier on a MK5 Fiesta :wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:
It was also the wrong key! Does any one have any idea how much of a challenge it is to get the snapped bit out? Is it even possible to get it out?
Cheers.

take barrel out and take it to a lock smith, should be no more than a tenner

It's actualy the wrong key that snapped in there so I don't think the barrel actualy moved anywhere.
I can't seem to get the barrel to move at all as it has two prongs sticking out holding it in place :(
Going to have to phone a locksmith I think :(
Cheers anyway.

see if you can get a strong magnet or get some nose pliers if you can get hold of the key,or drill the key out.

Lock smith might have some tools for the job? I know they have "broken key extractors"
Other than that, whats already been said.

you could buy some Q-bond and glue it back together and try and get it out, as Q-bond sticks like ***** and sets in 10 seconds. :y:
