Ok so things seem to be getting worse as there getting better now, I got a job in BT and start on the 16th of this month so im happy about that, i rang them today and told them i have booked my driving test for the 29th and their reply was, "Sorry your not aloud any time of during training as you will fall behind" And i was like WHAT THE FUCK :@, so now im pissed cause it will be £62 down the drain and im not pushing it forward cause it will mean i have to pay like £100 + anouther £62 for the test or more for more lessons which i wont need if i take it on the 29th but will have to if i dont because i will want to be ready, So what do i do :@ tell BT "Fuck you im doing my test for 2 hours" or postpone it :( i know what i want to do, but i also need a job and money so things aernt going my way right now
Thanks
Ross.

fook the test off or try and arrange it so you miss very little of work for the test, your instructor can pick you up from work and then bring you back just tell them you will miss very very little of the training :)

just ask if you can make the time up on your break and use the test time as your dinner :) job is more important at the end of it though :) tell them how much easier and productive it will be for you to have a liscence :)

Job overrules driving mate.
No point is having a driving license but no job to pay for fuel and insurance etc.....

Job.. Surely you'd rather have the money to be able to pay for a re-test if you need it?

No point fuckin a job of to sit a driving test, if you fail it, your gonna need to re-book and not have a job.

I work for BT as an engineer and depending on your manager they'll quite happily arrange things around you, especially for something like a driving test as it is beneficial to the business (if your planning to end up in an engineering role)!

Also, usually when starting a new job, the employer will ask if you have any previous commitments / holidays that you need to fulfill, so just tell them you booked your test before your interview!

Am sure you can change test date, as long as its like 2 weeks notice or something. Why not change it to a Sat morning or something. Simple

tbh mate its a fair point, you cant miss training for your job or wont know how to do your job!

should of got the time off work before booking your test, surely thats just common sense lol

re-schedule as above no point in having a car if you have no job and cant afford to run it

Tell BT to shove their job up their arse. Once you've passed your test run the guy over who originally said "no". That should sort it.

Then once you're mega skint at christmas make a thread about how can i make more money or moaning that you need a job.

The title to this thread seems a little OTT?

Id just get it canceled and rebook. If you dont complete training and they no longer take you on Im sure thats more of a loss?

I think common sense has to have a massive part in your decision!

These days jobs dont grow on trees. Man up and Re-book if not im sure there are plenty of skint families who are having their homes reposessed who would jump at the chance for your job.

Sorry if it sounds like im having ago! but you have to look beyond yourself atm

Rearrange the test matey. If BT are offering you the job and training thats a tad more important than a driving test in this current climate IMO. If they then moan you cant drive, blame them!
