i know most of you probs hate me for asking buuttt...
anybody got an active sub vibe cbr fli trap fusion edge etc etc,
can anybody recommend one?
not to bothered price wise as long as it is a good 'un and would suit going with amped comps.
i want one because i can't be done with the hassle of building one again but have never used an active so wouldn't know which one to go for.

thanks a lot!

fli am pretty good as they are made by vibe anyway.
i fitted another amp today in my car... a hifonics 400w powering 6x9's and comps.
also got hifonics OLM 1615 sub (£360) (3200 watt) running off a hifonics bxi 2608 amp ( around 1700watt at 2ohn i think about 2600w max) which cost me nearly 600 quid.

the sounds in my car cost more than the motor lol

my street has got like 160 houses ... i live at number 12 and when im at the bottom of the street my parents know im there and about to come up the street.

and u can feel the bass when ur 'outside' the car let alone inside it

fair do's mate!
i wish i could be arsed going through that much effort lol,
i saw one at a show and he had things bouncing around on the roof was crazy bassy,
but if you're doing it you may aswell do it properly rather than half arsed like myself :homme:

tbf vibe and fli is overpiced shit

have heard that kinda thing off a few people,
would you recommend anything then??

tbf yeah fli and vibe are a little bit over priced when u can go to bass junkies and get a hifonics sub and amp package for like 180quid.
and u can always upgrade bit by bit.

but my opinion is do it properly if your gonna do it.
it will put a bigger smile on ya face when u got what u want the frist time not wasting how much on this and that only to buy summat diffrent at a later date

cant go wrong to be fair... maybe upgrade the amp to a hifonics

there goes my next wage packet!, cheerssss
that's dirt cheap for a twin enclosure...
been snooping around and for the effort is really is a better idea to go for a package,
i have wired a few in the past with pals so shouldn't be a problem..i'm just a lazy mofo,
have you ordered off that site by any chance?
they deliver okay and that, always iffy about using cards online and that

coalpoolwalla

yeah they'm good... persanly i havent ordered off there because there shop is right by my house.... hense my loud system, spend every week in there buying stuff lol.

but a few of my mates have bought off the site and there great.

and there also a big company so i cant see there being a problem to be fair.

and wiring it in isnt a problem.... just make sure u ground it good as ive found hifonic amps are fussy lil fukers when it comes to grounding. use the rear seat bolts that hold the seat on the chassis

so you'd recommend one yeah?,
didn't expect them to be upto much because they are on the cheap side to buy

one thing i forgot to mention... with a active sub if something blows on it or breaks 9 times out of 10 its going to be both the amp and sub at the same time.

whereas with an amp and sub seperate 9 times out of 10 you will only break 1 thing ie the amp OR sub!

but i cant make u buy a passive system... i can only try and advise u as much as i can :):):):)

totally up to you.... your money your car

you say what sub ... tbh 95% of the performance is down to the BOX its in.
tuned right, built right, any sub would be ALOT better...

you said your not too bothered about price wise, aslong as its a goodun.

get yourself a 2nd hand Powerbass 3000D amp, and something like, 2 Orion Hcca 12", amp will be between 250-350, subs about the same eachh...
then piss off, not just your neighbours but the next estate over!

or being realistic, a decent box.
i hate "package deals" get a sub, and then an amp to suit... then build a box.
people on here will design them, or make your own online from a few calculaters to get find.

like poeple say it's easier to upgrade in the future and replace damage parts, thanks for the help guys :y:
