hmmm maybe u just need to use to it. Like he said as well more revs. Or maybe you didnt get taught very well tip for u when changing from 1st gear to 2nd put foot down on clutch then change to 2nd don't just yank the 1st gear to 2nd without the clutch lololol

Tbh saxos arnt the easiest of cars to get use to driving after driving 'newer' car and your learner car. Its just a case of getting used to it.
Or are you saying its stalling when youve got your foot down on the clutch?
You may not be pushing the clutch down far enough and your just catching the bite point so its stalling

Do you know much in terms of the history of this car? It could be a number of issues.. how many miles has the clutch actually covered? Any chance it could be on it's last legs? Does it slip at all?
Again as mentioned above, if the fuel tank has been let to run dry and gunk fed into the injectors they may need a clean/replacement to stop shudderring. What is the car like on idle?
