just found out that the bearings in my rear axle are on their way out i've been told its easier to replace the whole rear axle has anyone got a rough idea of what price a decent one will set me back?

i was in the scrapy the other week and a complete vtr rear axle was bout £125

you might not necessarily need a new axle, it depends how far gone the bearings are. axle from breakers should be between £120-£200 depending on the age of car it came off. i got one with 16000miles on it for £175.

had a look today its beyond saving so hello new axle anyway quite a few poeple have told me seen as its go rear discs the whole hub needs replacing when the bearings go so i'm on the lookout for a decent rear axle now
