Well he is getting the tyres fitted and a tyre garrage, so they will make sure the wheels are safe. Hence the "who cares" comment. If they were to be dangerous then obviously that is a big deal, but it seems not

Yes its a good price, just make sure there is a decent ammount of tread left on them, not just a tiny bit above illegal.
