my saxo is vibrating again!

its feels excatly the same as when a bolt on the drivers side engine mount snaped a while back( the one witch you cant see without taking the engine mount off)

however i have had this mount off an all of the bolts are fine i have also checked the gear box mount and all 3 bolts on that are tight ?

and the botom engine mount appears fine also

any ideas?

it feels to me like its gota b a engine mount again as the vibration goes away when u reved the engine and drive ?? but i just cant see anything wrong?

anyone had this problem ??

thanks

mine vibrates have you checked the rubbers? thats what has gone on mine if not bolts are too tight or rubbers are cracked perished or old and gone solid

yer the ribberson the gear box mount look and feel fine

ther is a worn rubber on the drivers side mount, its sort of wedged between sumthing? but that was worn the last time ??

do you reckon it could be that ?

I had an Engine Mount bolt snap & had it replaced. Then I had problem again with the vibrating etc but the engine mount looked ok to look at but the bolt had actually unscrewed itself. Just check the bolt is done up tight.

could it not be the exhaust rattling on the dwn pipe on gearbox so wen u rev the pressure in the exhaust stops the rattle?

Yes mine was the 1 on the drivers side. It's just a thought but thats whay mine was & it's ok now & vibration & noise went.

did you get someone to do that or did you do it yourself? mine is snapped
i dont no whether to attempt it myself or take it to the garage?

its easy enough to do yourself, i just checked mine for tightness and it was fine,

so i then looked at the gear box mount again, and although it appears to look fine, once i took it off all the rubbers have corroded, i then put it back on and started the engine and it has now stoped the vibration,

so im guesing its in a different position and has temporaraly solved the problem

MY BAD FOR NOT TAKING THE MOUNT OFF :(
sorry

how much is a new gear box mount ?

thanks for the replys
