View Full Version : R34 GT-T skylines? Yay or ghey?

Do you like them?
I know their slower, and look weak compared to a GTR but with a few mods, they still look the sex.
Not talking about the shitty tiptronic gear change, manuals only!
At the end of the day, they are a turbo rwd car big enough for 4 lads with LOTS of tuning potential (gtr lump please)
So, yay or ghey?

the GTR or non at all, reason being is that the GTT has flatter arches than the R and looks really long. it also has the ghay front bumper so money will need to be spent on cosmetics also.

What with these being electronic supercomputers surely something like an engine conversion would be a complete ballache and need an entire new loom etc too?

Standard looking they are like brewers droop kinda bad.
However, for not alot of cash, you could make it look like a GTR...

In August 2000, Nissan released a newer V-Spec II GT-R model. The V-Spec II has increased stiffness in the suspension (even stiffer than the original V-spec) and had larger brake rotors on the rear. It also comes equipped with a carbon fiber hood, which is lighter than the aluminum that all other GT-R hoods are made from. Also different on the V-Spec II was an iridium center console and aluminium pedals. The seats were also made with black cloth rather than the gray cloth used on previous R34 GT-R models, and the amber turn lenses were replaced with white versions.
Actually the best models were Skyline GTR V-spec II Nur and the Skyline GTR M-spec Nur
The Nur was named after the famous German Nurburgring racetrack, where the Skyline was developed. The Nur model featured an improved RB26DETT based on the N1 racing engine, used by Nismo in Motorsports. The VspecII Nur is based on the regular VspecII model, and the Mspec Nur was based on the regular Mspec model. Other than the addition of the stronger reinforced Nur engine, the Nur models also included a different color of stitching on the interior trim, as well as a speedometer reading up to 300 km/h. Nur Spec engines are more stronger than the standard RB26DETT with an N1 spec engine exclusive to the Nur. Twin ball bearing metal turbochargers (Much stronger than the standard ceramic turbos used), Reinforced N1 cylinder block, N1 pistons, N1 piston rings, N1 Con-rods, N1 oil pump, N1 water pump and N1 exhaust manifold.

Nein, GTR only way to roll
+1.
The GT-T models actually aren't bad at all, but I'd live a miserable existance knowing mine wasn't the real model (the GTR).
For that reason alone, it would have to be a GTR or else I wouldn't bother.

You're wrong old man.
Listen and compare the noise of the RB26DETT and the C32b engine found in the Honda NSX. The vtec makes the skyline sound like a muffled dyson ;)

for the price of the v spec you can nearly get a nissan gtr (R35)
which clearly outweighs the rest.

I love the look of the R34 and the GTR, but I cannot stand all of the electronics on the car. As impressive as they are, not for me. Give me a TVR with a big v8 any day of the week
