Hand Brake !!! NEED HELP

Hey,

I have a problem with my hand brake. I was parked on a hill and i was in a really tight space, so i edged back and put on my hand brake and PING. Not quite sure what has happened. Seems to still work ok but have to pull the handle up a lot further. it is also loose when its off. Is it just that the cable needs tightened or what??? please help, i cant avoid hills forever.

if you jack up ure car/put it on ramp, get underneath an look above the zorst and ull see the metal heat shields, remove the closest 1 to the front of the car and you should be able to see the cable, check the cable hasnt frayed or anything then just tigten up the tensioner that you can see its easy enuf ony a alf hr jobby

just had the car up on the ramps and found that the cable at one side had snapped. thats why i still have my handbrake workin. so i need a new cable at least. takin it to a garage 2mo 2 c wat they say about it.
