(in no order) :

front grill mesh
interior lighting
colour code all the trims
sound system in the boot
bita engine tuning - that's a scary one for moi cos i've no clue abt that - basically want a cool sounding excust smileys/smiley9.gif

long term plan: bucket seats!!!

Neon interior lights?

Cant really do much to the 1.1 engines appart from a zorst & air filter.

What sort of wheel arches?

The vtr ones?

Ive got the full kit but cant afford to spray/fit it yet so ive just bought some of them stick on arches for the base models.

Yeah tints are good, i'd hate to drive around in my car without the tints.

rhgrieve
27th January 2006, 08:57
i fully don't have that 'edit' button. serious.

prob just the standard 'clip on' arches. where'd i get a set of those?

you do the tints yourself with film?

Tony_Jay86
27th January 2006, 08:59
gah! and angel eyes...

They dont actually produce saxo mark2 angel eyes yet unfortunatly.

27th January 2006, 09:00
Yeah, sometimes you dont have it & sometimes you do, unless simo has made it so new member cant edit there posts.

I'll get you a link shortly for the clip on arches.

My dad did them with light smoke tinting film i got from halfords, the front side window ones are starting to peel off though smileys/smiley13.gif

Tony_Jay86
27th January 2006, 09:03
The person on ebay i bought the arches off dont actually have any on at the moment.

not bucket seats in a 1.1 mate. will look stupid cause a 1.1 is not exactly a race car or evan a fast car. lower it and put sum rims on it thats all you need for a sweet looking car in my opinion

so - at 10:30pm friday - i decided to take the grill off and have a wee look around.

here's what i found

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v200/rhgrieve/Picture007a.jpg
yoink - of it comes

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v200/rhgrieve/Picture004a.jpg
bit of a dark picture (can't be bother to photoshop it this early in the morning!) just the front view with the grill off.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v200/rhgrieve/Picture005a.jpg
paint is a bit chipped and coming off round the edges - will have to touch that up.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v200/rhgrieve/Picture006.jpg
the grill

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v200/rhgrieve/e8c4bdf7.jpg
and the back of it

lovely smileys/happy.gif

next step - badgeless grill with mesh smileys/happy.gif

pics to follow of interior - which is standard.

Very good choice (sp) also a good first mod.

This is a picture of what my car looked like when i had a badgeless grille on it, but sold that & have now got another, also the car has changed abit since this photo.

question: i noticed that some of the cars with a grill like that don't have a hole for lifting up the bonnet - if you don't have a hole cut into the mesh how do you get the bonnet up?

VTR_BOY
28th January 2006, 19:01
looks good, jus stick rims on it and exhaust, then lowered, will llok good after that smileys/smiley4.gif

rhgrieve
28th January 2006, 19:07

Congrats mate, keep the mods subtle and your car will look nice.

About the meshed grills, you'l find that most people have a bit cut out for the catch its just that some people have smaller holes than others and unless your looking up at the grill you can't always see it.

excuse me for being a girl...but i'm not to sure how i get the side panels off to get my speaker wires through.
