View Full Version : Mot failure, due to sky high emmisions, Pugsport ecu and 708s

Hi guys,

Car failed mot today due to high emmisions, was off the scale.
So now im stuck, the garage will be lenient and allow 1 - 2 % but at the moment its 4%. :(

Is it possible to swap the ecu over from a standard gti to bring the emmisions down?

Help appreciated.

mine failed on emmisions, was the coil pack.
they changed it and 3 days later white smoke billowed out of the exhaust...

a standard exhaust system and getting the cat super hot before testing will work very well.

i hope it does danny, just picked up a cat now so shall re tested with it fitted, fingers crossed :/

take it for a good blast before you get to the test station mate, and try to get it on the emmisios str8 away.

mine failed on emissions but it didnt have a cat and i didnt know this wen i brought it lol.
o well lesson learnt 100 quid later
