are active subs any good if im not wanting to take up my boot with an amp and sub?
any suggestions on which to buy? (£350-£400 plus some 6x9's)
plus would/should i need to run some 6x9's off it?

With a budget of that much you'd do better buying a seperate sub and amp, they really are alot better than active subs

heres my vibe sub i think it produces quality sound so do the three cars i heard cheering when i turned it up.....well not cheering more alarms went off!! special edition fully enclosed better base levels

How about a helix 12" sub powered by an Eton 660W RMS amp? Will offer a very good SQ setup.
The subs come in at £105 in a ready made enclosure and the amp comes in at £265. A bargain for the quality it offers.
