Ok so my dad has a company van and they pay for the insurance.
Would I be able to drive it with my insurance? (3rd party)
Im fully comp with Bell.
Or is it a different type of insurance? Commercial?

depending on what type of van
what its being used for
depending on your insurance company
why doesnt he just put you on the busines insurance? cheaper, easier and safer in the long run.

its an astra van so small. nothing like a transit or anything.
just need it to go places untill the parts arrive to fix my car.
not sure they will put me on the insurance, my mum is on it though.....

is it on commerical / business / domestic insurance?
find that out.
then ring your insurance company and ask if you would be coverd to drive it.
sorted.
its always better to play it safe, then to be unsure!

my insurance allows me to drive anything, even if i dont have a licence for it.
whether it be a hire car, a business transit for a twin wheel based tipper truck...
and im fully comp on them...
your insurance may not cover you for any of that.
ring them, and ask...they would much prefer you to check and they say yes or not... rather than something happenes and they, luckily say yes covered or No, bend over please.

You are önly coverd to drive with the owners permission.
Even if your insurance does cover any vehicle

if its his dad company van, im pretty sure he would have the permission lol...
unless your on about me, then if they want their car fixed, hey have no choice but to let me drive it lol.

does his dad actually own it though? cos ur assuming his dad owns the company. other wise he wud need permission from a director etc. i know that no one other than employees are insured on my van. other ppl on the company have paid to put there family members on though. depends on the policy i suppose

chances are the company policy states that no one outside of the company is allowed to drive th vehicle... wouldbe best to get him to check too...
but could be putting your dads job in jeopardy . . .
not worth the risk imo...
