hi guys this is my first post and am hopping u guys can help me.

i have a 1999 Saxo VTR 90BHP model with 45,000 miles on the clock.

In the last two weeks the steering in my car has gotten worse in that there is a lot of play in the steering.

It is then exaggerated the faster i go especially through twisty roads pushing about 70-80mph. Feels like im not connected to the road and has almost made me crash. When driving at lower speeds the car is fine but there is still play in steering wheel.

The only way i can liken this is that when u turn the wheel in the direction u want to go in u have to turn it that little bit further than u would have used to, to make it go in that direction.

Any body got anyideas?

be most gratefully if u do

My car had the same behaviour, then the buzzy sound when the engines was cold, then... steering gone. Had to replace it.
