all my friends have r888 proxes and they say they are brilliant wet and dry the bad thing they are such a soft compound they wear easily t15r toyo proxes are a slightly higher grade compound they are brilliant wet and dry and last longer....but if your going drag racing r888 are your best bet

t1rs are great road tyres.
As for 888's being good in the wet that bollocks, they suck on standing water and espilly greasy icy surfaces. Theres a few compounds of 888's if you want a winter wet tyre get SG or GS compound cant remember exatully and GG (which ill be using next season) for dry conditions.
No road tyres compare to 888's or other "track day tyres". If you want the mac daddy road tyre michy sports or nearly as good but much better for there money Goodyear Eagle GSD3's (which are being replaced with acermetrics.)

agree on the eagle F1's i highly rate them. Theyre my current tyre. Used majority of others for saxo sizes. I heard R888s are just as good as eagle f1s in damp conditions but its standing water where u will die now n again lol

I love my toyos, not had a lot of experience with them in the wet yet.

I repeatedly buy T1R's when they get low - love them in all conditions! Stupidly cheap in the 50 profile, tempting to get instead of the 45 profile as they are half the price

got some f1's when the original pathetic michelins eventually wore down.f1's fantastic tyre in all conditions.tried some t1-r on the front.damp and wet f1's win hands down,in the dry they edge it too.195/45x15 on a saxo.

SG (888's) compound are for wet/cold condition they heat up in seconds but cool off in seconds, which is aparently perfect for winter track days.
Damn two sets of track wheels would be expensive :(
