Havnt got one but i work for vodafone selling them their a good phone but theres a more compact version coming out in a month or so if you can hang on should nock the price of the standard one down a bit :y:

Ah right, I went into a Vodafone store today and it just stuck out to me. I would but my contract is finishing like tomorrow and I need a phone :y:. Cheers for the advice though :D

A friend has just bought one, can't say i've had much of a go on it but i know that im not too keen on the sliding mechanism. I could imagine myself eventually becoming fed up with it or breaking it whilst steaming! :drink:

I bought the missus one, i liked the look of them myself.

It's always crashing, bad battery life. And the screen never looks good to me.. Good for texting though. Touch screen is slow. It just annoys me to use it and i love Nokia's.

Maybe a software update might sort it but it's on the newest one out

I'd try that Htc hero. I've got a Iphone 3gs. Best piece of kit i've probably had phone/technology wise...

Stay away from the Nokia N-Series, all are shit, keep crashing, battery life lasts a day or two at most, VERY VERY SLOW, i must of waited 5 mins for it to load up a text.. Worst things I have ever brought.. I had the N95 and loved it for 5 months till that broke, replaced it with the N96, and 5 months later thats worth nothing at all, the ON button has stopped working from the amount of times ive restarted it from crashing.. and finally last month brought a N97 after hearing they were all the rage, lasted about 15 days.. Enough said really.

Now ive got a £30 phone from tesco, Samsung C3050 or something with a 0.3megapixel camera.. and its the best phone i have ever owned to be honest :y:

I have N96 and its crap, been sent away twice and still shit, wanted to upgrade and the salesman said dont get the n97 just as bad.

N96 was horrible until recent firmware update, its a little bit more stable now and quicker. doesn't crash every two seconds either!

can't comment on the N97, my mate has one and likes it. just remember, anything software related can be fixed with firmware updates so if its not that annoying, it will be fixed.

although it should be fixed anyway, seeing as you're paying for it!

as said above the n97 mini is coming out next month and the normal n97 is being made discontuned

there not bad phones and defo more reliable than the n96 as we havnt had many calls about them in work

i got one the day it came out and its class, had the odd glitch till they upgraded the firmwear but not its class, pisses all over my mates i-phone and u dont look a goon when u get it out coz looks like any other touch screen phone when closed. battery life is great, mine goes 2 days between charges with average use and a fair bit of internet use. would recomend it to anyone!

ive got a htc diamond 2 and its awesome yes it can be a little slow on the occasion when trying to rush through menus or if youve got big fingers the screen might not be very good but other than that have never had a problem with it.

From my experience with an N97 the touch screen is pretty shocking compared to the quality of the touch screen on my 3gs an being a typical nokia it has tonnes of pointless apps that either don’t work or will never get used.

I have it, upto last night i would recommend it, nokia released an update for it and since then the net has stopped working and wifi etc dont work :n:

If you wanting one i would wait till the new one comes out, it doesnt seem slow to me but saying that its my first touch phone so nothing to compare it too :)

Had a N97 after the N95 8GB was getting abit tired looking! Had it a few days noticed the battery life was better and the keyboard was cool but thats it! The phone was slow and the screen is about as responsive as a deaf dog when told to sit! When it worked it was good but ive had so many problems im getting fed up! Recently ive had some more issue's so Vodafone are replacing it today, as the screen has stopped working as a touch screen, rendors the phone pretty much useless as all the keys are on screen and the Nav buttons by the inside key pad cant do everything! If you take the battery about 50 times it'l work for about 5 mins before crashing then on restart the screen wont work.......AGAIN :( Hopefully this one will be better! Im not holding my breath though!

Tbf i should have just put a new cover on my N95 8GB, best phone ive ever had! :afro:

I would wait for the mini by the seems of it unless you need massive memory.

Although the motorola dext looks good as well in my opinion
