Ok, before i start, i've searched for every possible topic to try and help me get this sorted with no joy, although a few useful pieces of advice came up.

It regards my centre console and its removal, more specfically, the standard headunit. I've got the jist of removing most of the parts.

I've got just the centre section. (the plastic surround), everything else in unplugged, but the headunit is still attached to it. I've got pieces of coathanger etc, but no joy.

I need help getting the headunit out quite desperately though!

Pics if necessary

put the removal tools in and pull the one on the right to the right and the one on the left to the left while pulling towards you, and it should just slide out smileys/smiley4.gif

hhhhm, doesnt seem to wanna shift.

Just another note, its not even in the car anymore, its on my lap here in my bedroom. Headunit only remains, seems more accessible this way. thought i'd done the hardest part too... smileys/smiley19.gif

Me again, i puled the heater knob off (the one with a pic of a fan on it) but cant seem to get the bit underneath it off... Any ideas? It seems really arkward.

I also know that alot of people mask over the ciggy lighter hole, but how do i go about removing it? Any ideas appreciated, ta people.

just get a ciggy lighter from a scrap and stick that in to keep your original one looking black. alot less hassle than taking it off IMO
