I had quite a expensive helmet I was given. Its never been used, totally unmarked and even still had all the original safety tags attached. As I am never going to use it I listed it on ebay. Ebay guidelines said “An item can be listed as new if it's unused, fully functional and has no signs of damage or wear.“ So I listed it as “new”. I copied the information from the label, Gave the make and model and even stuck a nice photo of the actual helmet I was selling. I was happy it sold even though it was not for a lot.

BUT, then I got a email from the buyer saying it was not new as it was a old model. He had absolity no complaint with the condition but purely because it was not this years model. So I told the guy to have a look at the listing as at no point did I say it was this years helmet, they don't even make the model any more. I also showed him the ebays listing guidelines and said I just followed them. He has started a PayPal dispute :wall:

Why does this Sh1t always happen to me :n:

what you have done is only like me selling car parts that are still in the wrapping or boxes but sat on the workshop shelf for a few months, what a div, surely he could see it wasn't this years model??

he should have read the whole thing before buying, being new doesnt mean its just been released, if nots been used and is boxed its new imo

There was a picture of it, clearly showing what model it is.

Ebay will still prob take his side as per usual.

I hope ebay see what a idiot this guy is. If not I shore hope I get the helmet back in the same condition I sent it in if they give him the money back.

What a muppet. Imagine buying a video game like Tiger Woods 09, in new condition, then complaining that it's not new as there is an '10 out. Surely he doesn't have a leg to stand on here!?

Tbh mate once it gets to paypal the best thing you can do is get the helmet back as cheap as poss.

Paypal have never ended a dispute in favour of me,even when sent proof of signed for delivery even when the signature reads the fuckers name.
