Disc screw

Wanted to replace my discs earlier, but i rounded off the 2 torx screws. Ridiculous how tight they were 2bh! So i thought i'd be able to drill them out with a metal bit.. Used from a 3 right up to a massive 9, but still wouldn't come out. What's the best way to get these out? And do i really need them in when i replace the disc? As the wheel nuts will keep the disc on the hub surely?

You dont have to put the screws back in, but it helps when you come to put the wheel an bolts back on, cos it keeps them in line with holes for the wheel bolts...

A good flat head screwdriver as mentioned above will be a good idea me thinks....sounds like your in an unfortunate situation here mate!

So whats the idea behind using the screwdriver? Snap the head off the screw? Which then leave me with the thread still?

you dont need the screws like you said the wheel bolts hold the disc tight.

hammer a screwdriver head into it with a sharp punch, then tap them round abd undo them
