Why is it so hard to find a decent VTR these days? to me it feels like there is hardly any for sale... And the ones that are, are from dealers that prices are like £3000 for a 80K standard saxo VTR i bet they are sat there wonder why they arent selling!! And also whats the deal with Mk5 Zetec-s i tell you what tryna find them on the internet is a mission in itself...
any webbies or anyone selling up a VTR or Zetec-s soon please give us a shout! im sure there are loads of other people with the same dilema...

I doubt you'll find the perfect vtr, as their not exactly new. Most old cars require some money spending on them. I suppose the best thing you could do would be to look for a standard one, that a randomer has used as a run around. Avoid pistonheads and here, and look in your local small ad's or autotrader for un modified examples, i know there not all ragged. But theres better chance of finding one used by an old lady or somthing in smaller adverts.

could get a lower mileage'd vts for that if you look privately. garages can charge more because if something goes wrong you've got somewhere with a reputation to go back to.
go all out for the vts :P you know you want to lol

i have no problem with cat C's but there again i make my living fixing them. we bought ours as a cat C, mainly bolt on repairs, 59k on the clock, one owner, aside from accident damage in bloody good, standard condition with FSH and by the time we finished repairing it,taxing it and VIC checking it the total came out at less then 50% of what they are being sold for, gave us more to spend on bits and pieces we wanted to add on. as stated though,it depends on who has repaired it (seen some horrors that have been codged together on a shoestring),and more importantly, the extent of the damage it had suffered. i won't buy anything to repair that has had the door gaps closed up or had chassis damage past the crumple zones on the front legs,if they are that bad they just aren't worth repairing.
