i got my renewal quote from adrian flux the other day for £390 fully comp which i thought was quite expensive considering i paid £320 last year. i phoned then up and asked them to send my ncb through as i wouldnt be continueing with them. the girl asked why and i said ive found it for £306 with another company, with all modifications covered on a like for like basis. they didnt even ask what company it was but said they could match it. she came back 5 mins later and said it would be £292 fully comp, all mods covered like for like. it amazes me that for the sake of a phone call i saved £100. looks like ive got some money for some more mods ;)...

My dad got a letter from Direct Line few months back with a quote for the policy renewal of his car, he went on a comparison website and got quoted less by the same company - Rang 'em up and they matched the price :P

Wow. I don't see why they don't just offer a reasonable price straight away then most people would probly just accept it. Few days ago i got quote off Quinn-Direct for 1.5k tried a day after and it went down to 1.2k.

Its because some people can't be dealing with the hassle and would rather just pay instead of making a few phonecalls. Crazy i know but my dads like that haha
