Hello ! think ive posted in the newbie section once, anyway bought my first saxo last week after owning mk1 clio, mk2 golf gti, mk3 golf gti, mk3 polo gt, rover 214si and a box of rust...i think that was a fiesta. Saxos never really ticked any of my boxes until i drove a vtr a while back...then this beauty came along; 1998 vtr, interior is mint, no runing problems, vic check all clear, needs rocker gasket and O/S driveshaft seal all for 100 notes ! got it back to work and striped it down, knowing it had been re sapryed i expected it to not be that bad, they had left all the trim on and not bothered painting inside the doors and the boot had been painted with what looks like hamarite...Rought c**t's ! decided i cant drive it like that so ordered some flash looking house of kolor black met paint. i started looking around the site and decided id do a few more subtle mods, so far; lower 50mm (took a quick look at the tortion bar t40's looks like a lot od wd...or the oxyacetylene gets dusted off) tint rear windows, groved discs and greenstuff pads, re-furb alloys (maybe paint white) and get rid of the dustbin exhaust and replace it with a full powerflow system (cat back) il keep a build diary and post it up on hear when im close to finish..if all go's to plan it should be early november/mid october. il upload pics when im home.

Haha, theres a long story behind it. to cut it short i bought a mk3 golf gti then sold it back to the guy for the same price (before i signed the registration docs as he owned it for 3 years) i was reluctant to sell it back to him so did a deal with the saxo...then he scraped the golf on the 'scrapage scheem' to buy a new fiesta. all in all it cost me...urm, £18, a set of old vw sebring alloys..and a small amount of hassle.

Sorry not £18, £100 ( price of four tyres for the golf )
