knocking/tapping noise coming from engine please help

its knocking and tapping when the clutch is not in but stops when you put the clutch in, also when you are driving theres like a grinding noise when you take your foot of the accelerator, new clutch was fitted a few weeks ago,

does any 1 know whwt it can be.....can it be my gearbox on its way out?

Hi,

It could be but I would investigate wheel bearings, driveshat cv joints, ball joints on suspension arms, drop links etc and rule them out first.
