As title really.
Over the weekend an incedent occured somewhere ( i wont say where and it was no fault of mine ) and i ended up in hospital for like 4 days due to a fractured skull, gashed head, bruising of the brain.. i wont go into detail but i was assaulted from behind with a kosh over the head and knocked out for 10 minutes...
Very pissed off about it as you would be but yeah ... its happened..
just wondered has anyone else ever been knocked out and what did you experience after... cause i feel like i get wound up quick, no apetite, i get agitated, and its like i just want to sleep all the time... probably just the after effects of being hit and concussion but its a nightmare....

The sleepiness takes a bit of time to subside tbh, i think the moodswings are related to feeling tired all the time.

Give it a couple of weeks and things will be back to normal. Glad to see your ok inspite of the injuries though.

the drugs they gave you inside make you not want to eat, not eating makes you tired, and a combination of both make you wanna fuck ppl over, well that, and the continious annoying thoughts of the cunts who done it

Concussion is pretty nasty shit - took me about a week to get over feeling tired/ not hungry after taking a large rock to the back of the head.

Glad to hear you're ok though. Get plenty rest and I'm sure you'll be back on your feet no time. :)

yeah you all got the right idea... i got no apetite really ... well i kinda have but no incentive to make any food cause i feel like shit.... constantly dizzy its madness ... best of it is when i first got hit and went into hospital they glued my head gave me pain killers but i began to vomit violently, they sent me home with no scan at all. I went bak to another hospital a bit closer to home and they refused to let me go home.. they scanned me immediately and found the fracture in my skull and brain brusing and kept me in... contra coup injury its called apparently lol . god knows but its f*ckin horrible cause i feel contsantly shit

As said above really took me a week or two to get back to my 'normal' self after a knee to the back of me head in rugby. Tiredness is the main killer of it all.

yep I have had concussion before years ago like.

was at School at the time. PE lesson.

im mad about basketball so I ran into the sports hall took a ball out of the EQ rom and started to play. thing was the lesson was supposed to be football lol. and I wanted to get 5mins of b ball in before everyone finished getting changed (that tells you how fast I got changed lol)

thing was there was a leak in the roof right near the basketball ring. I went up for a layup slipped. and all I remember is waking up in the changing room totally soaked in water. :s

I got up went into the sports hall to find everyone sat down listening to the teacher (Mr short) and they all turned around ooked at me in shock to say fuck me he is alive lol.

Mr short came over and explained to me I slipped banged my head I burst into tears and had to be carried out.

to this day I dont recall any of that happening lol. I left the lesson went to the matron she called home an me mum picked me up which we then went to the hospital and I was given the all clear and also a black current lollipop :P

Oh yes, i got this one sorted ;)

When i was in a band we played a show in Cheltenham if anyone knows it, its a pretty upper class place but there are bad bits! We were walking back to the car after the show, there were 4 of us and our drummers girlfriend, so we are going through the center of town in which we get a group of lads (we all reckon about 20) all with hoods up and scarfs round there face following us we get to the car and one of them pushes me and says "you wanna go mate?" to which i reply "no man, we aren't looking for trouble we just wanna go home" some of the group were saying come on lets leave it they are with a lady they just want a good time, so the guy that pushed me turns around so i think its all going to be ok then he swings round 180' and hits me with all his weight i hit the deck and smack my head on the floor, my friend turns around is like " what the fuck is going on? " and he gets kicked so he runs with a few of them following him, as i get up Kim picks me up and puts me in the car and we speed off with them kicking and throwing stuff at the car as they chase us while we try to find our friend, i had blood pouring out my nose all over my clothes and a split lip. We finally find my friend he gets in and we drive off, they take me to hospital as i keep repeating questions and seem to have no memory at all, i get to hospital and spend the night there, i wake up not knowing what the hell has just happened with blood all down me and my face and head hurting! i find out what had happened but it didn't really sink in too much, i go home and ring everyone to find out there story as i couldn't remember any of it and still cant to this day.

But yeah basically it takes a while for everything to settle down, it took me about 2 weeks before my memory was back together, time just felt really strange to me, i would watch a movie hit stop and it would feel like i watched it days ago! was VERY odd but it soon goes :)

Looking back at it though from what i have been told about it all we all came off very lucky! my mates car being dented and stuff and me being alright, it could have gone a lot worse! We told the police and everything yet they said they couldn't find any cctv to work out who any of them were.

i had a very serious accident xmas '07, put my old vtr backwards through a lampost and smashed my head on the headrest and bounced it out and smashed it thorugh window, woke up in bed on boxin day with no recollection and a bangin head ache, i found it very frustrating as i couldn't remember a single thing, but i just rested for a fortnight, it helped me come to terms with bein lucky to be alive, the near miss and also some of my memory of the incident returned, well the first thing i can remember now is wakin up in a+e with a copper apologizin, apparently he'd just though i was pissed up and breathalised me and the deep exhale knocked me out!

anyway get well soon, get some rest, don't strain your brain :)

I got knocked out for a few hours once. Was in hospital for a few days. I remember feeling really weak, and tired all the time and no appetitie aswell, took me 2 weeks ot get back to normal.

Then had concussion a few year ago in a fight at school. Felt death in one ear for the whole day and serious headache, tired, unbalanced. Lasted for a few days aswell, felt like i was gonna be like that for the rest of my life.

i do parkour, i jumped down a big flight of concrete stairs, messed up my landing and smacked my head on the concrete floor, didnt hurt, just felt normal, like nothing happened. Then 4 hours later at the gym, i colapsed :n: woke up 5 mins later in the first aid room in the leisure centre and felt fine, but when i went to text my mum to come pick me up, i forgot how to spell, i completly lost all ability to string any letters together, i couldnt even spell "at". This lasted a full 3 days, which was really bad as i had loads of texts i couldnt read or reply to lol. Eventually got back to normal. Still think im losing it though, i forget things a lot easier now :(
friggin brain and skull being so weak :(
