hi there i am wandaring how the no claims bonus works... obvisoulsy if you drive around fora year and dnt crash or calim u get it yeah, But with me i am on my second policy as found one that was loads cheaper and am approaching my first year,, but ive had this policy for well under a year, if you follow me.

Dos thismena that when i reach my first insured date ill get my bonus? or have i got to wait from a year from the start of my latest policy?

And to make matters worse, I dont have a car now so will need to cancell the policy, can i ge awaywith not geting insurance for a 4montsh and then get insured on my years annicversary will this be with a one years no calims bonus? or hust a years driving experience?

Please help all you can it may be confusin to read but its just as hard for me to decide waht the hell ive got to do lol!

The reason i ask this is i want a scoob(non turbo) and afta a years no claims itll cost 700 to insure, but with a years experience (without getting a special bonus or wateva) itll cost 1400.

Thanks guys n gurls

you have to do 12 months with one insurance company to get a years ncb.If you stayed with the same insurer but changed cars after say 6 months after 6 more months you would get your ncb but swapping insurers means you basically start again.

and u cant run two poilicys at once and say "i have 2 years on car A and 5 on car B"

thats illegal and ull end up with 0ncb

u have to do a full years insurance b4 you get 1year ncb, if u cancel it or change it then itll drop to 0 again

its worth paying for the 4 months if it works out less even tho you dont have a car, this means youll save in the long run
