Driving test 19 days :(

I have my test in 19 days. I had a mock test the other day. I failed but only because of a few stupid mistakes with not looking in the mirrors.

Im very confident sort of lol

anyone have any help on how to prepare and what to do etc ?

Just take your time remember there's no rush, Its so much easier to correct any mistakes you may make asap if your going slow.
Just drive how you do on your lessons. Go slow & Remember to use ALL Your mirrors plus look over your shoulders (Blind spots) When doing your maneuvers And your be fine.

I failed my mock practical and passed with 2 minors in the real one, one of those minors was not looking over my should after having to stop for a car coming up the road whilst doing a left reverse. My advice is just stay calm the main part of the test is driving to the test area and back the manouvers(SP) take minutes. Good luck with it though :y:

reaaaly take your time, and RELAX most common fail in driving tests are because of nerves, take your time on maneuvers and you'll be fine, best of luck !

cheers mate, my friend took his test and failed and he re took it and he bought these droplets you take 2 days before your test and u pour it on ur tongue and it lowers u nerves

I failed my first test on the 21st on last month cos of my nerves and other idiots on the road (imo) but I got a cancellation for this Wednesday, so my advise would be not to worry cos worst comes to worst you can just do it again :)
And even better if you can drag your mum out with you, my mums been hostage in my car for months now, means you can still go out driving and stuff just get a bit less street cred till you do eventually pass lol

Erm probably done about 30 hours give or take with my instructor but driven hundreds of miles with my mum (bless her) she loves it when the subs going haha
It took me ages to get over my fear of other traffic and right turns though so that consumed alot of my time on lessons at first lol

oh haha nice, i was pretty confident goin into first lesson with no experience, i booked my test after 8 lessons and have only bin out with my mom for 2 hours the other night. :/

Some people pick it up really quickly though so you might be ok anyway, and just remember that it's annoying to pay again and wait ages but you can do it as many times as it takes.
That's what I had to tell myself a hundred times after I'd finished crying and sulking to my driving instructor after I failed haha

When they asked me to pull in I did it all fine and then when I went to go again I signalled and started moving then some idiot who had stopped behind me started moving round me. And because I had a mini panic mode and where I have had loads of practice with my mum where I don't necessarily drive the right way, I decided I would just carry on and make them wait.
Apparantly this wasn't a good idea and my examiner slammed on the breaks. Pissed me right off cos I think the idiot behind should have waited and in real life I would have just driven off.
I don't know if that makes any sense cos it's alot easier to say than type lol
I only got 5 minors otherwise and even though it was a bit obvious from her using the dual controls, I still didn't realise I had failed till the end lol
You should make other people pay for it out of sympathy if you fail lol, that's what I did :)

sp means spelling ... as in im not sure if its spelt correctly or not ... my spelling is really bad anyways lol

12 lessons aint much tbh ... i heard the average was 20-30 but like said some people will pick it up alot easier than others ... :y:

My dad payed for the first one cos he knew I was getting really pissed off with being a learner, then my boyfriend felt sorry for me cos of how upset I was after failing so payed for the second one lol

Don't make your test a big deal. Its a test don't overwehlm yourself with nerves its not a big deal if you fail. What time are you taking it?

Spend what seems like 99% of the time looking out of the mirrors, being sure to make it obvious as sometimes you can look in the mirror and as only your eyes moved and the examiner wont register it.

You have to be confident, but not cocky. You may as well cancel the test if you have a cocky attitude about the test knowing you'll pass with flying colours. Have seen so many people arrange drives and take the piss outa other peoples driving when they haven't passed themselves, and then fail themselves.

Apart from that - Good Luck! (Try and beat 7 minors :P )

cheers for the comments people :D im not a very nervous or cocky person so i fink ill good in that way.

My test is at 1.35pm on monday 19th my instructor said to do it outside the rush hour times so this time is good.

just need to remember to keep looking in the mirrors!
