ive had a set for 2 years. must of done 3,000 road miles and 20 trackdays. rears are still very good and theres 2 full days left in the fronts. best performance tyre ive used to date. mines the medium compound GG.

good tyre. and the best value for money trackday tyre there is.
the yoko a048r is another (better) alternative but much more expensive.
ive got some new dunlop direzzas (sp) wich the radical used to set the fastest time around the 'ring wich ill be trying soon so will write a review.

They are a trackday tyre, so I imagine they would be nice and grippy in the dry, crap in the wet and last about 3 seconds if you use the car alot.
There are better road tyres for less money, but for a track car, go for it.

i leave mine on in summer and theyre far better than any road tyre in the wet!

Very good for a track tyre but very pointless on the road really. Are they can be used in the wet but are dangerous with standing water unless they have been cut to wets.

Just dont drive like a nutter in the pouring rain and dont drive into all the puddles you can find.

you can drive as carefully as you like but trust me even at 15-20mph on standing water can be deadly with them. Espically on drain covers which you carnt see when its very wet.

Suppose, and on A roads where the roads worn to the tracks of the vehcles creatin a slick tarmac.

i was thinkin of gettin some r888's as well in the next few weeks but was also a bit unsure if i shud or not cos of the winter comin up. dunno whether to get another set of t1r's or r888's. using mine for weekend blasts and occasional track days

a race track is very different as there isnt dips and grooves like on the road. you cannot run wide on the road
there very expensive to be replacing all the time for no benefit for normal driving.
They are very noisy, lower mpg, very stiff, uncomfortable etc etc,

ive driven mine on standing water (2cm depth) with barely legal tread at speed and it was quite "sketchy" but i cured it with bravery....
they are miles better in the general wet and dry than most other tyres

Never heard a bad word against them for track use
wouldnt put them on a daily driver though. Will be gone asap as you only get 5mm on them anyway. Plus they are noisy makes you think your gearbox is fucked with the noise they make.
Going to get myself a set and a spare set of alloys for next year :)

This.
I have them on my track wheels and use them occasionally if it's dry and i fancy a drive out.
I would never consider them as a daily drive tyre, especially over the winter.
