Hi, i've recentlty moved house.
On the third day my saxo of broken into, they put a screw driver to the right of the lock barrel. It was a very clean method of entry and looked as if it had been easy.
My girlfriends car was parked behind, this was also broken into. It was and old ax , they bent the metal surrounding the lock barrel and took it out.

I took my saxo home after that to fix it as they smashed the dash to bits to get the cd player out and try to start it. The imboliser worked thought.

Anyway, yesterday i brought my saxo back up here, got to the car this morning and found the drivers side door lock had now been tampered with and i couldnt open the door!

Has anyone got any advice, ive got a steering lock but its a simple old one. last night there was nothing in the car, glove box open, no cd player etc, makes me think they want to take the whole car.

Can you get upgraded locks? or removed maybe? any1 know of a good cheap alarm?

Thanks

de locking can be done at any bodyshop mate they just fill it over and spray it i would say it costs around £75-100 per door

and remember you can also de-pin it by taking off the door cards, yanking the pin out and replace the holes with grommits :y:

your car will be safe as houses after that

de locking from what i have seen wont help as if they can see somthing they want they will just smash and grab it. You would be best off getting an alarm mate that has a flashing light with some window stickers so they can see that it is belled up.

Honestly, if you want security, sell your Saxo.
As I've also been on the receiving end of thieving scum like this, I looked in to securing the car...but as Saxo's and AX's etc are just common targets due to their rep of being a boy racer car with subs and amps in it, you're a target before you've done anything to it.
You can put alarms in, but you and I know it's not the things they steal that's annoying - it's the damage to the car.
I need a new passenger side lock and door - I have done for a year now - but once some arsehole has screwed it up, you think twice about getting it sorted because who's to say it won't happen again a few days later...sigh...

Good luck securing it dude, but just decide whether the juice is worth the squeeze before you think about spending the money on it...

Thanks for everyones advice, at the moment ive decided on keeping my car at my parents house and im insured on the ax. I don't really NEED to drive much anyway...

FYI, the ax has been 'entered' theres no lock anymore...EVERY SINGLE NITGHT THIS WEEK! I stay awake till about 3ish but then get tired of looking out the window. Plus the bastards always change the seating position and throw bits of paper around lol.

Oh, and im currently looking into :

1. placing a needle (think herion type), inside the seat. In the hope of injecting poison (not too sure yet, perhaps a huge dose of liquid ketamine, followed by 'hostel style' torture) into anyone who sits in said seat.

2. Running a extension lead from the house (about 20m) and creating an electric chair form and old metal chair frame i have.

Cheers for your help.
