Don't go o2 - they seem to overcharge for what you get, if you're after a cheap contract - 3 are the best IMO.

Just bought it about a month ago, top phone, easy to use, unreal battery life, unreal good looks, great screen quality, get it searched mate instead of considering one of these stooopppid overly flash smart-phones that cost a bomb and think for you!

I just got the htc hero in carphone warehouse, for £30 over 24 months with Orange, 600 mins and unlimited texts with 500mb internet usage. I'd recommend this phone to anyone i love it!
It has built in wi-fi, i connect it to my wireless at home, and theres a feature called "market" on the phone, you can install a load of apps on your phone, kinda like the iPhone, pretty much all of them are free as well!
Just my little say :P

I'd recommend Orange tbh, apparently they are taking over T-mobile, or will be eventually. Also if you get a phone off the Orange website you get it for a fiver cheaper a month!

Orange (who are still in the process of merging with T-Mobile) and Vodafone have just got the rights to sell the iPhone.
I'd wait until these are on sale from both companies as I see some price wars happening between O2, vodfone and orange.

Contract sucks infected vag.
yeah but 600 mins on PAYG would cost £120. Not to mention texts and internet etc.
The top-up packs aren't so bad though, but that's pretty much like being on contract, just without the free phone.

Umm, because you pay for the service and not the phone. You're paying to use the network on pay as you go as well, AND you have to buy the phone in the first place.

3 are pretty gash tbh!
ive got 75 mins to 3
unlimited texts and internet for 15 a month
but hardly anyone is on 3 so you end up paying 70 odd quid a month like me :(

3 signal is shit, and customer service sucks tbh.
I always have full signal, and when we were in Scotland I had a better signal than my brother who is on o2.
But it does vary greatly on where you live, as there is no T-Mobile signal around here at all.

Have a word with 'em I'm on 1000 Texts 600 Minutes for £20 a month, before that I was 200 Texts 600 Mins for £15/Month.

erm, the phone is free. you could imagine the monthly cost is paying for the phone, but that makes the minutes etc you get incredibly cheap.
the point is i got a phone for nowt, all im doing is paying £25 a month for the mins and texts etc. plus, the first 6 months are only £12.50.
it seems mad to pay 200 or 300 quid for the phone and then on top of that get ripped off for 20p a minute calls.

contract £15 a month for 18 months = £270
payg - your looking at £150 - £200 for a phone thats the same spec as a contract phone then say £10 a month credit for 18 months = £180 so your looking at over £330 for the same period and im sure most people spend more than £10 on credit a month

o2 Signal is best tbh, but there are some places at work its just goes dead, like the bog lolzipopz.
I had a 3 Phone and it was, without a shadow of a doubt, THE worst phone Ive ever owned. Ive never, infact, owned a decent phone, until now :D.
