hey all, sorry if its in the wrong section?

thought id give the vts cam covers a good scrub this weekend, thanks to those of you that give me advice about sanding :)

first of all let me say if you heart isnt in it, dont do it! takes a lot of time and a lot of patience to get it right, this probably took me around 5 or 6 hours lol.
anyway this is how it turned out!

before and after some sanding - huggggeee differnce, for some reason though the top cover looks a lot darker than on the before pics above? i think its light conditions...

looks much better. I polished up a vtr rocker cover, took days! looked good when it was done though :y:

You could get a better finish on that tbh mate

buy a non ferrous polishing kit should bring it up a treat

What did you protect it with?

As its not being dipped in copper and then chrome it is not a chrome cover.
It is a polishd steel cover!
Best thing to keep them clean and shiny is peek a boo polish

get a set of mops and soap stages to get a proper gleaming shine.

What did you protect it with?

Just keep it regularly polished and it hasnt started to rust yet.
