You have to buy the cars in season play, all it does is make them available to you in game.

At the moment people are desperate to get the achievement where you have to outbid someone to win a car auction.

Update on the multiplayer. If you're wondering why public lobbies etc are so shit it's because they're restricted for release. They are going to review the available options once it's been released across the world.

Turn 10 have control over the playlists/lobbies etc so they can just activate whatever they want without needing a game update etc.

Bit of a joke really, the multiplayer at the moment is SHITE!

I basically buy a bog standard cheap car and design it with some subtle paint/decals. For these golfs im selling i just painted the bonnet and mirrors black and then put some subtle stripes over the bonnet in line with the GTI grill badge which you can kind of see in the pic.

Don't tell anyone though, our secret!!!!

Im actually fed up of starting last in every single race. An optional qualifying mode would be good. Or even having it random would be nice.

It's not a bug, there are no PI limits on most weekday races. The PI indicator on the main race menu is simply the highest PI of your opponents.

Providing that your car matches the specified criteria under restrictions, you can race it!

I've always played Forza 2 and am playing Forza 3 with only ABS on and manual without clutch.

Never liked using TCS in games, takes all the fun away. You just have to learn to control that right finger!!

Im nearly at the end of season 2, quite enjoying it now, 1st races were utter gash tbh, other down side, once you get to the front of the pack, it seams too clear sailing... it takes abit of effort to get to the front, but when you do, they dont seem to challenge you anymore :/ and im not even doing cars up before i use them, just use what i win to do the next one..

I Have to say, my 616bhp euro alfa.. can do 208mph, is pretty epic, i refuse to put a body kit on through so cornering can be abit sketch, but now iv learned how to handle it, its a epicly good drive around the twisty roads!

Biggest dissapointment, most probably Vx220 turbo, slow as cack, and handles like a dog!

Much prefer belting it around in little cars to the big power houses!

There is, but it penalises your lap time.

Forza 2 penalties:

These added time to your lap and were indicated whilst racing. Crashing, going off the track etc were all classed as penalties. Was no indication of penalties received on leaderboards, the time from the penalties was just simply added on and made up your lap time which was then posted on the ldeaerboards.

Forza 3 penalties:

Works completely differently to Forza 2. Penalties in Forza 3 include:

Cars drafting you
You drafting cars
Damaging your car
Touching barriers/cars
Going off the track (more than half the car i think, or 3 wheels)

When you incur one of these penalties it will show up as that white warning triangle next to your lap. No time is added on for these penalties what so ever, it is an indication that the lap is "dirty" and cannot be verified.

Simply put, a "dirty" time can NEVER be ranked higher than a clean time. If you incur one penalty on a full lap of the nurburgring and set a lap time of 6 minutes for example, someone who does a 9 minute clean lap will be ranked higher than you.

The reason penalties are given for drafting is to prevent people pushing slower cars with faster cars to set stupidly quick lap times. It also prevents slow cars being able to draft cars to set faster times. It's a really really well thought out system and works very well and should prevent any dodgy times from going on the leaderboards.

It is also worth noting that if you incur a penalty on the last sector of a lap, that penalty carries over to the next lap. This is again to stop people pushing slow cars etc over the start line to start a fresh lap going stupidly fast.

So I'm flying round and it's defo by quickest time, although I have to lap an opponent. No problem I think, and I knew if I drafted him the time wouldn't count so I keep well clear. Over took the guy and went back on the racing line without cutting him up/going off the track/touching him etc, up pops the penalty symbol and my time is voided. How can another car be drafting me when I'm clearly quicker than it and just over took it? Seems silly to me, you can't win.

It promotes times to be achieved in time trial/free run with no other cars on the track. It guarantees that the times are actually representative of the player's ability as they cannot cheat in any way.

I think it's great myself but I'm one of those saddos who will happily sit for hours lapping a track in time trial to knock a few tenths off my time :P
