never used one but a do think its a handy bit a kit , seen them before just never got round to buying one

Nope, never in the hundreds of beams ive done.
although i use a propper puller, selling pullers actually.

nope..... no harm in using one tbf
Just i prefer a jack and a tape measure.
Still got to use a tape measure with a dummy shock anyway.
