Me and Louise have got our House Warming Party tomorrow night..... there is gonna be about 30-40 people coming.... we're doing finger buffet and my Mum's doing a curry and chilli-con-carne and rice.... we will have music going in the living room with a strobe light in the corner and a couple of coloured swirling disco balls... out in the back garden we are gonna put a gazebo with a rope light round it to give some light and also an outdoor electric heater to keep them warm.

What else would you say is a good idea to do.... sensible answers please.

Just worried about not being able to keep 30-40 people amused etc.

The atmosphere should keep it going Ithink. Just get them to bring a few drinks other wise will get costly, lol.

I have told them all to bring their own drink as we can't afford to supply 30-40 people with drink and food.

It's a bit of a large number to try and do a quiz type thing isn't it?

My mate's having a housewarming party weekend as well. Saturday, Sunday and Monday i think. It's gonna reduce my life expectancy.

You should make up a large bowl of alcoholic punch...always goes down a treat.

Have you got certain people that have never met anyone else or is it general mates that all know each other? Cause if you have groups going the banter will flow naturally without even you intervening....
