Just a couple of things, When i used to work in the steel industry they were never used for social use.... So not everyone has no reason to have them.

HORRIBLE looking petrol guzlers... dont care which one you own, the porche one, the bmw x5, the range rover all look nasty and are a waste of space... in my opinion. 4x4/people carrier owners piss me off aswel, main reason being is that my street has a school at either end. its amazin that nearly every single one is being drove by a mum whos picking up just 1 kid! i actually took the time to count the other day, in the space of around 100metres there were 16 4x4/people carriers and just 3 cars!! personally if i was a car manufacturer id make cars petrol and all 4x4 diesel and have the government slam massive taxes on the diesel fuel and general road tax for them unles they have agricultural/true work related purpose.

sorry to have a rant about it but they really do get on my tits.

hope the damage to ur car gets sorted out quick n easy m8.

There seems to be some narrowminded idiots who seem to think 4x4s are perfectly acceptable in a town/city.

See when you smash into someone at 25mph crossing the road they're gonna get atomised whereas someone getting hit by a saxo or similar is more likely to get up or end up in hospital fill out there conpensation claim form.

Mr 4x4 driving around town accidently smashes into a saxo type automobile - saxo with driver becomes a pizza stain.

There is no point to a 4x4 in a town or city... 4x4 are/used to be designed to take mr farmer to the top of his muddy field and nowt else.

people don't buy cars with the thought of crashing them in mind. if i could afford it i'd have a 4x4 to drive round in every day. they are much nicer to drive, you sit up high, and people move out your way when you try and barge into gaps in traffic!!

I cant see anything wrong with 4x4's, my brother has a shogun, although he doesnt use it at present, its his second vehicle that he may have to use to get to work in if it ever snows as he works over in yorkshire & has to go on the back roads.

Also my dads cousin has always driven shoguns, for him its a perfect vehicle as he is a big guy & even struggles to get in big cars.

Iam also a big fan on the range rover vogues (sp).

I can understand why everyone hates them, but get used to it, how many hummers & them f150's are there on our roads today?
