hello i have a silver rocker cover on my vtr, looking to take it off clean it up give it a lick of blue paint along with the manifold cover with high heat paint, how tight do i do the bolts, from what i can see, its just 2 bolts. is this correct? i have a torqe wrence but not sure how tight to do this, anyone done it and got pics ect...
any help/advice please :) just that my engine bay has seen better days and could do with tartingup with some blue wire covers ect.... but slowly does it lol

not sure about torque settings but should be here on the site if you search
yes two 10mm heads to undo
carefull tightening them cos they can snap
whilst your there change rocker gasket if you want

yeah will probably do that why i have it off, worth doing i suppose, got a slight dint in my front passenger wing, think i may need to replace it, but thats only cosmetic and will take 15 mins to fit a new wing
just seen too many VTR's like mine with black wheels, i like to be different lol

call the ding buster man lol
fitting a new wing is easy but getting color to match and alignment spot on is not easy, trust me ive re-aligned a front end saxo before and its a mission

well ive had this one on and off a few times and managed to line it up again after some fiddling, and i will just get another wing off a possi blue, makes life simpler there about £25-£30 off the bay but may get a better deal at local scrappy

so true, guess slight miss-match will come out by a cut & polish

yeah nice mashine polish should do the trick.. i hope only keeping the car for 6 months so dont want to spend mega pounds on it, but just tidy it up a bit also, theres a random, HOLE in 1 of the frong headlights, need a replacment glass for it

will do, ill probs advertise it on here anyways, im after a turbo not sure what yet though
