So as im wanting to get a vtr when my 1ncb comes through in a couple of months.
ive been looking for quotes with ridiculous amounts of 2-3k on my own policy third party.
Apparently ive been told these guys will fit a tracker to your car which limits the amount of time your allowed to drive they call these hours the "red hours".
As i wont be using the car in those hours anyway im thinking of going for it as i dont want to pay over 1500.
Has anyone had any experience with this type of scheme or getting a vtr at 18 and 10 months old?
Thanks:y:

Try getting a quote from them. Ive read some people get really low quotes, but when I tried it was about 1900-2K, not the best.

You need PassPlus to get any sort of decent quote from them - I'm paying £919 in a 1.1 with 0 NCB.
I've been told that I can't lower the car at all, and that I can only fit Saxo alloys that are no larger than 1" than the originals. Tinting alright, as are lexus lights so they're not too bad on modifications :)
Ask on here or PM with any questions as I did alota research into them when I got my insurance with 'em.

What did they quote? What car were you quoting for?

It was around 1900, I think, with Passplus, just passed, 17 years old, Saxo Open Scandal 1L.
Much better than most companies out there, but Adrian Flux has quoted ~1800.

My quote with them (inc pass plus) was only £100 cheaper then Quinn Direct so isn't worth it for me. Thats on 1.0.

that comes to £1798!!! :fcuk:
I was £1511 when i got my vtr 3 months after passing my test, had 1 claim(wrote off my 106 a month after passing). so for limited driving you seem to be getting ripped off there in my opinion

I'm guessing you'd get a phone call asking to have a look at the faulty device mate. As you can log onto the tracker online and see where the car is, and if the ignition is on etc.
Give me a PM if you want to take out a policy, you'll get £20 HMV vouchers for it if you do it through me :)

So you're proposing insurance fraud by not declaring your points?
Don't be stupid. Man up and accept that the points will have to be dealt with, if you don't declare your points, and you have a crash, instantly your insurance will be null and void.
In addition to this, many insurance companies do background checks on your license anyway, and the points will come up regardless.
Lie or don't lie, you will get found out, don't be stupid and hide it because the consequences are far worse if you do.
