just wondering if anyone has watched the series of a program called Firefly was out in 2002 an then the film serenity was based on it in 2005??

still to watch the film but just finished the series really liked it shame it ended suddenly though

i only got the boxset as for my group project in uni this year is to make a board game on firefly an might need some opinions from fans of the series (as these would be the ppl buying the board game)

Ya it sucked the way they just cut it. There were large fan groups there were trying to fund the series on there own but the bigwigs would not have it. So there should be plenty of market for a game based on it. You should probably see the film as its got some great visuals you could get inspection from. Oddly though if you actually wanna sell the game they are apparently being a bit ainal about the rights.

nah i wont be selling the game sadly will be handed in to be marked an if any good i'm sure the lecturer will snatch it as his own lmao

bit crap it has to be a board game an not a video game but the group doesnt have any decent programmers actually no1 in my year that does the programing side is good enough yet lol

i was thinking it in the game you could play as serenity tryin to smuggle goods while avoiding the alliance but then it has to have some sort of competitive play in it to make it worthwhile so thought about there perhaps being some way to have the players be able to bluff each other an steal cargo etc all just thoughts just now mind as i havnt even spoke to the group yet just having thoughts since finishin the series

oh an i'm sure the fans would want river in on it somehow but dunno how it'd work in a board game

great series, serenty is quite good to.

They did the series in 1 day on the launch of serenty on one of the sky chanels. It was hardcore viewing

just watched serenity, kinda feel they didnt get a chance to explain the shepards story aswell as they wanted, as it was mentioned in the series a few times that he didnt really seem like a shepard (the bounty hunter in the last episode says, and the fact he knew how to fight an use guns)
an what about the men in suits with the blue gloves that made you bleed from your eyes etc?
