Radio code help....

Hi all, apologies if this has been asked before but my P reg 1.1 saxo has a factory fitted standard radio cassette fitted. When I switch on the radio I get the message 2ERROR. I do have the code and have tried entering it and I believe I have to press the station ^ button to save it but it wont allow the radio to operate. Can anyone advise how to reset the unit and get it working again.

Had the same thing myself, it basically means too many incorrect entries.

Reset the unit by leaving the cars ignition on for 3-4 hours not touching the radio. I did it overnight as my key and 'zapper' are separate, key in the ignition and then locked the car remotely.

Just throw a towel over the dash so the ignition lights aren't obvious for passers by :)

Do I have to leave the radio switched on also?

Yeah, so the error code shows up on the screen.

Will the error message then disappear cos it does after a few minutes but when I enter the code the radio wont work and if I switch the set off and back on I get the 2ERROR message again

Do you get 4 dashes ? Or just the 2ERROR?

after a few minutes I get the four dashes. I then enter the code and press the ^ button but nothing happens. If I then turn the unit off and back on I get the 2ERROR message showing again.

I didn't push ^ when I finished entering the code when I reset and it accepted it. You might have a wrong code if its not accepting it.

Hmmmm that's what I hoped wasn't he case. I take it I'll have to remove the unit and get the serial number and then try to get the proper code???

Okay guys....all sorted. By pure chance I pressed the 6 button after entering the code and it now works. Must be my lucky night. Think I'll buy a lottery ticket this week. :p
