Is the mk1 a dying breed lol. i rarely see mk1 vtr/s
surely there must be a higher mk2:mk1 ratio on here?

i'm sure the mk1 is slightly more rare now, due to them being scrapped/written off.
give it a few more years and the mk2 will go the same way.

mk1s look alot more better than mk2s imo.
mk2 looks like more girly with its round headlamps. mk1 looks like the pimping machine lol.

totaly agree. the dials and some of the interiors are quite shabby. i juts got the vts seats and door cards wacked them in. with a carpet out of a scrap 03 plate. looks quite cosy inside! just trying to work a way round puttin mk2 clocks in. id have to change the wiring and that all leads to the ecu? doesnt it?

you will in most cases need to change the fuel pump. The dash loom aswell.
ill have a mk2 pump and dials and prob the loom for them spare very soon

I have a MK2 but prefer the way the mk1 one looks when its been 'tidied'. In wakey theres more saxos than phones so there both common as muck.

Just to clarify, this thread is pointing out that a newer model of a car is more common than an older model of the same car?

spoiler, rear lights, seats, dials, gearknob, RF c/l rather than IR on the mk1
