i dnt think they are legal mate because i think you have to have reflectors on them :)

you would most likely get pulled over for them on the astra. mask of a little rectangle of the reflector and dont make it tooo black so you cant see light through it during the day

you'd need to put a reflector on the back if you wanted a full black look

i had them on over 6 months with no problems with them being lexus lights there was a space between the glass and the reflector that let light through and lit up the reflectoy, it not a small strip of reflective red tape if you did get any problems with them, but tinting lexus lights should be all good tbh

Yeah also mate just do it with a spray can, the more coats the darker it gets obviously. But like it's been said if you go too dark the reflector is no longer visible, so need to put one on the back. All depends on the coppers around your area as to whether you'll get pulled

the coppers in the area arnt to bad tbh ill just see how i go on with them thanks for the advice guys

just say you baught them like that and you will get them sorted if you do get pulled over, and remember if you clear coat them it does take some of the darkness away and make it a bit more translucent :) good luck post some before and after pics :) im not the best at spraying but astra lights came out perfect no runs no defects at all :)

just put the standars on unmolested, best look imo, i went from smoked jewels back to my mk2 standards and makes the car look much cleaner

yeah the reason standard lights are illigal is because the tint is being sprayed directly onto the reflector, with lexus lights its not, so theres room for the light to reach the reflector, be carefull as ure spraying it wont look any different just shiny leave for 5 mins between each coat because it goes darker as it dries

Yeah i had this, was thinkign why wasn't it going any darker then came back 5 minutes later and was muchhh darker, so yeah give it some time.

to get smoked lights really glossy, just lay on one thick layer (not so much it runs)

prefer glossy smoked lights than the matte black ones
