im wanting to polish my mk2 vtr silvertop rocker cover.
what equipment and products needed?
is there also a guide?

Don't think there is a guide, but when i cleaned mine i just got some stuff from halfrauds. Look at my progress thread to see how clean it is lol :)

take cover off de greece it, if its starting to get a little surface rust then a quick sand down, and give it a coat of paint, im thinking of doing mine over the weekend. will make the engine bay stand out alot more so far ive done wire covers, manifold cover and few other bits and it already looks much better

I'm planning on getting hold of a few 8v rocker covers and polishing them up to sell.
Should be ready within the next couple of weeks :y:

dont think vtr mirror polish up if thats what your hoping for. only vts rocker can be done

the vts ones are alloy vtrs are not so you cant polish them

you have to buy chrome plated vtr rockers as ther are made from steel which means they cannot be polished.

vts cam covers can be polished because they are aluminium
