to both or just the insurance matt?
Matt67
20th October 2009, 15:24
Both,
Insurance would rape you if you had a crash and it wasn't the correct colour. Don't think it would affect your premium by much if anything.
Dvla would need to be informed so they can change the colour on the log book and so it doesn't confuse the dumbass at kwick fit when they come to mot your car.
"this saxos isnt silverrr.. its black"
*2 hours worth of confusion*

Think again, the staff at my shope aren't thick. We dont employ monkeys as per the likes of Kwikfit. We might of said we'd have to cut your locking wheel nut off (drill it off, bang it off) but why would anyone suggest cutting a wheel off, not only is that ludicrous to even think, let alone do, we dont have the time for that.
The reason we dont 'bang a socket over it' cos you're too stupid to remember your locking wheel nut key, is because all workshop staff use and buy their own Snap-On tools. I'd understand if they worked for a company like Kwikfit that bought them Halfords cheap crap and they didn't give a toss about breaking/damaging sockets trying to rectify peoples problems for a measly £20-£30 to get a set of lockers off! We've got far bigger fish to fry that that thank you very much.
Next time you need anything in a rush, or help trying to do something on your cars, think again before heading over to R-Tec.
/rant over..

their actual words were - we'll have to cut your spokes cos we cant get that off.
it appears that person was pretty stupid.

I can assure you none of the staff would even dream of saying that. Have you ever tried cutting an alloy in half? I have, can get pics of the one in the showroom to prove if you like. Took me hours to get through it. I'm assuming you think we could cut through it like a hot knife through butter?! Please don't continue talking, as you will make more of a fool of yourself than you already have...

unfortunately that was the case. was a few years back, so hopefully theyve got rid of those monkeys
all was rectified with a quick trip to someone who knew what they were doing
