decent 6x9"'s with a good amp to power them

Im basicly after 2 good 6x9's with a ok amp to power them so the quality is good. I do not want to have a sub in this car.

So basicly could anyone recommend me 6x9's with a decent amp to power them please because i kno nothing abour rms output etc etc etc.

Kenwood do a good 5way 500watt set of 6x9's.

Don't let someone come on here telling you to get an 'amped set of comps' because 6x9's give great power and great sound quality when amped up.

How much you got to spend mate?

Got about £100-£150 to spend. no more than 150 tho really

the best thing would be to get "mids" in boxes and amp them

can get a pair for £40 - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/spl-dynamics-sd-6-1.html

and a half decent amp for around £60 - go on ebay, and search - jbl gto 4000

run a set of comps up front

and a set of 10cm coaxials in the rear off the HU

you're not going to have good quality off a pair of 6x9s (lets try not to debate this...)

wouldnt something like an active sub be an option in your case as you can just whip it out when its not needed? just trying to give you more options

6x9's are very good when running off an amp, I have this amp, it's not great but it will run what you want, anyone who says 6x9's aren't good are ghey. :)

All depends what kind of shelf you have, and how many speakers you have in it.

dose anyone know where to get a stealth shelf for a pair of 6x9s or how to make one. i like the idea of it not being on show but have nice sound!
